Important Notice: Do Not Upgrade ATEX Kona Mega BSP 6.0.7 to BSP 7.x.x Without Fix

We have identified a critical issue affecting ATEX-certified Kona Mega Gateways when upgrading to BSP version 7.x.x from BSP version 6.0.7. Upgrading without the necessary configuration changes may cause the gateway to malfunction, potentially requiring a factory reset to restore functionality.

Recommended Action:

If you plan to upgrade your ATEX Mega gateway to BSP v7.x.x from BSP version 6.0.7, please apply the following fix before proceeding with the upgrade:

1. Open the file /etc/sysctl.conf.

2. Add the following lines to the end of the file:

   net.ipv4.conf.default.rp_filter=0


   net.ipv4.conf.all.rp_filter=0

3. Save the file.

4. Power cycle the device (perform a full reboot).

These changes are necessary to prevent the malfunction related to the upgrade process.
